    With gimp it’s much easier: the entire UI is garbage ;)

    Sorry I haven’t had the patience to look into what the guys at Waterloo have done (notice it’s not actually the gimp developers, who are probably happy with the horrible UI), but it wold be really neat if you could steal more than ideas from them.

    The code probably won’t work in firefox :) but they must have some automation doing storage, graphing, and analysis of the data, which would be something you could use.

    What is the typical monitor resolution of a GIMP user? Haha. Gimp is the program for kids!

    I never thought of GIMP’s UI being “unwiedly”. No application of such complexity have an easy UI. Learning curves are everywhere, and nobody’s born knowing it all. If we say no to humans having the capability of learning things, then the only thing that makes us different from chips is the relative size of testicles. :)
